At the Tea Tree Gully Veterinary Hospital we offer work experience to University veterinary students, students enrolled in a certificate IV Veterinary Nursing course, as well as year 10 secondary school students as part of their formal work experience program.

Veterinary students can apply for work placement through their University In-practice program.

Secondary school students in year 10 and above should apply for work experience as soon as possible after their school has confirmed dates as we are able to accept limited numbers only. Please complete the form below, attaching a cover letter which should outline a little about yourself and the reasons why you would like work experience at Tea Tree Gully Veterinary Hospital.

How to make the most of your time in work experience

If you've never undertaken work experience before it can feel quite daunting, but don't worry we've all been there!

When on work experience at Tea Tree Gully Veterinary Hospital you will be given real work tasks to complete and the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals. You will also have the opportunity to use and develop essential skills for your career, including team working, communication and organisational skills. You should look at making the most of your time with us by asking lots of questions, and taking all opportunities given. You should also be flexible and prepared to do some of the "grunt work". That way you can open yourself to as much varied work experience as possible.
